Kaelan W. Dawson, Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, joined UCBC in May 2022. She received her Doctorate degree from Augusta University in 2019 and is Board Certified through the ANCC. Prior to her Doctorate program, Kaelan was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of her Bachelor’s Nursing program in 2013 at the Medical College of Georgia (Currently Augusta University).

She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor society and was originally inducted during her undergraduate program and again during her graduate program. (Insert space here)

Kaelan has a broad range of nursing experience including Trauma/Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Home Hospice/Palliative Care. Since the completion of her DNP program, she has been working in Long Term Acute Care with Hospital Medicine. Kaelan is a native of Elbert County and currently resides there with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to audiobooks, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldawgs in the Fall.
