University Cancer & Blood Center

Oncology is a branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It includes medical oncology (the use of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and other drugs to treat cancer), radiation oncology (the use of radiation therapy to treat cancer), and surgical oncology (the use of surgery and other procedures to treat cancer). University Cancer & Blood Center’s doctors, nurses, and staff will be with all patients every step of the way to explain unfamiliar terms and help each patient understand what to expect before, during, and after treatment. From physician to nurse to receptionist, every UCBC team member is committed to accomplishing the biggest goal of every patient: to be healed. Every decision made is approached with sensitivity to our patients and the environment of our facilities.
