Lauren Barnett, a certified nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, earned her doctoral degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Piedmont College in Athens, GA. She previously worked as a home health nurse and was formerly a member of the UCBC team. She has submitted publications on congestive heart failure to the New England Journal of Medicine. Lauren is currently a member of the UAB Sigma Nu chapter and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She joined UCBC as a nurse practitioner in 2022. Lauren is an Athens native, growing up in east Athens. In her spare time, she enjoys trips to the beach, finding new local restaurants, and enjoying time with family.
