Cortney Maffett is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience in primary care. Her nursing background includes orthopedics, oncology, and palliative care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Piedmont College, Master of Science in Nursing Education from Liberty University, and both her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Troy University. She is a former nursing faculty member and served as President of the North Carolina Associate Degree Nursing Council. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and has been recognized with honors, including the Rising Star Clinical Excellence Award, North Carolina Nurses Association Nursing Excellence recognition, and Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 Award. Originally from Colbert, Georgia, Cortney enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
