University Cancer & Blood Center has spent the beginning of 2021 hosting weekend COVID-19 vaccination clinics in and around the Greater Athens Area. It has been our honor to distribute the vaccine and come to know so many wonderful individuals who make up the rich fabric of our local communities. With no intentions of slowing down, we have given over 5,000 vaccines to not only our patients, but also the communities we serve. In addition to distributing the vaccine at our Athens and Eatonton locations, we’ve also had the pleasure of vaccinating individuals at Extra Special People, Athens- Clarke County Station #8, and Bethel Baptist Church in Watksinville. Thank you to Lake Oconee Medical Group, our staff, volunteers, and partners for making all of this possible. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and we are re looking forward to the days ahead #ThisIsOurShot
