A Legacy of Dedication: Allison Garrett Retires After 43 Years at UCBC

After an incredible 43 years of dedicated service, Allison Garrett is retiring from UCBC. From the early days of transcribing medical notes at the front desk to witnessing the significant evolution of cancer care, Allison has been an integral part of UCBC’s journey.

Through the years, Allison has played a vital role in UCBC’s growth from a single physician practice to a sprawling comprehensive cancer center. Her commitment and the impact she’s had on the “family” atmosphere at UCBC are truly remarkable.

Quote from Allison

“Looking back over 43 years, it’s amazing to see how much has changed in patient care, especially with advancements in medications and treatments that allow patients to live so much longer. We started with one physician, and now we have twelve!

I never dreamed it would grow to this extent, but it’s wonderful that we’ve been able to reach so many more patients. What I’ll miss most, though, are the people here. UCBC has always felt like family, and I hope that spirit continues.”
